Hardscape Skilled Installer
Location: Vancouver, BC
Salary: $25 – $30 an hour
Type: Full-time / Permanent
The objective of this role is to lead and install most of the skilled work. Paving, retaining walls carpentry etc. Providing direction to the team, and leading by example. This person will be a self motivated individual and strive with the opportunity to lead the installation team.
We’re looking for a self-starter who can manage their time effectively. The role requires drive and a sense of accountability because the day-to-day working environment will sometimes involve very little direct supervision. Attention to detail, teamwork and hard work ethic are paramount for the individual to be successful in the skilled hardscape installer position .
- Take direction from the site supervisor and lead the other team members
with the installations. - Achieve the daily and weekly site goals as set by the supervisor and Project
Manager. - Work 40 hours per week and occasionally some extra work
- Lead and support the team. Each team is as strong as the weakest link.
- Perform much of the skilled labour.
- Previous leadership experience in a sports or work environment
- 3-5 years hardscaping experience
- All round installation skills with all elements of hardscaping- Paving, Tiling, Carpentry. Allan block is preferred
- Experience operating Excavator and skidsteer
- The use of laser level to set grades
- Experience with calculating slopes for water drainage
- Valid Bc drivers licence
- Own vehicle preferred but not essential
- You will work closely with the Supervisor and the PM who will be mentoring and pushing you to get to the next level
- We work all year round and do snow work when it snows.
- $25 – $30 per hour dependent on landscape construction skills & experience (Paving stones, installing retaining walls and water features, etc.)
- Dental and medical Benefit package after 6 months
